Two-Story Retail, Office Building To Add More Than 31,000 SF On Las Olas

The Las Olas Company broke ground recently on a new two-story retail and office development, located at the corner of SE 8th Ave. and E. Las Olas Blvd. on a company-owned lot just east of the Riverside Hotel, according to a release.
The project will offer approximately 16,000 sq. ft. of upscale retail space on the ground level and 15,500 sq. ft. of office space on the second floor. The building will also feature a rooftop event space that can accommodate over 500 guests and offer stunning, long range views of both the neighborhood and nearby New River.
Pete Ebersole, principal of Architectural Alliance, designed the building and Marker Group of Fort Lauderdale is the general contractor. Expected completion is set for Summer 2017.

This project will serve as an important new anchor for the sustained prosperity of the entire neighborhood,” said President Michael Weymouth, who is personally overseeing the project.

The company has long been a major property owner with more than 50 retail, dining and office spaces along the busy commercial corridor.
