Tricera Capital Brings Exciting New Tenants To The Hive, Flagler Uptown Retail

Nov 14, 2019 No Comments by

Miami-based real estate investment firm Tricera Capital announced several new tenants to complement the exciting mix of restaurants and retailers at Flagler Village buildings The Hive and Flagler Uptown. The firm acquired the buildings in the trendy Fort Lauderdale neighborhood in January 2019.

The popular buildings – adorned with eye-catching murals of pop culture icons – are home to numerous tenants of national prominence, including Grammy-nominated rapper Tory Lanez’s ice cream shop Notorious Creamery; renowned pastry chef Max Santiago’s Batch Cookies; and New York-based fast-casual concept Chick’nCone. Tricera also secured a long-term lease renewal with anchor tenant Glitch Bar, which is a Flagler Village staple.

An authentic, old-school ice cream shop with a modern, boutique twist, Notorious Creamery has been a major hit with Fort Lauderdale residents and visitors since opening in June. Batch Cookies opened in late August and has generated significant attention for attracting lines that span the entire block.

Chick’nCone has been aggressively expanding in burgeoning neighborhoods including Downtown St. Petersburg and Fort Collins, Colorado. It is expected to open the Flagler Village location by the end of 2019.

Other new tenants include:

  • Black Honey Tattoo, led by up-and-coming tattoo artist Tori Fernandez. The location is expected to open by the end of 2019
  • Heritage Restaurant, an upscale Italian restaurant concept backed by Stellar Revival lead singer Rino Cerbone’s Cerbone Hospitality. That is also scheduled to open by year’s end

“Given our vast experience in emerging neighborhoods, we acquired these assets with the intent of fully embracing Flagler Village’s culture and building off the foundation created by this unique community of local entrepreneurs,” Tricera Head of Leasing Justin Lustig said. “Tricera’s goal is to advance the neighborhood by incorporating new interactive concepts that will add to the energy needed to help Flagler Village reach its full potential.”
