Transwestern Bolsters Industrial Tenant Rep Practice

Transwestern’s South Florida office today announced that industry veteran John Vaught has joined the firm as a Senior Vice President. The addition of Mr. Vaught will support the expansion of Transwestern’s industrial tenant representation practice in the Southern U.S. through Puerto Rico.
“John’s extensive experience and knowledge in supply chain management and logistics for industrial tenants complements our distinctive approach with institutional clients, providing insight into businesses changing needs,” said Walter Byrd, Managing Director of Transwestern’s South Florida offices. “John’s addition will result in an immediate enhancement to our industrial tenant representation business, coming at a time of strengthening international business and positive indicators for domestic industrial production.”
Mr. Vaught will lead and grow client engagements and oversee the expansion of supply chain and logistics offerings in an industrial tenant representation capacity throughout South Florida and Puerto Rico. His expertise will enable tenants facing increasing competitive and economic challenges to develop results-driven strategic real estate programs to boost effectiveness, efficiencies and improve profitability.
In his career of 19 years, Mr. Vaught has specialized in industrial commercial real estate, logistics and global supply chain solutions. He has more than $500 million in sales and leasing transaction volume for notable clients such as Pfizer Corporation, Johnson & Johnson, Ryder North America, and Patheon. Mr. Vaught’s many credentials include his membership of the National Advisory Committee Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals, Port Logistics Group and Life Science Group.
“Transwestern has always been considered a thought leader in the commercial real estate space, evidenced recently by its strategic growth in major U.S. markets and reinvestment into operations during an economic downturn,” said Mr. Vaught. “I am pleased to be joining a proven team and have the opportunity to support and build the corporate user business on a local, regional and international level.”
John previously served as First Vice President at CBRE since 2000.
