Telecommunications Provider Relocates, Leases Full Floor In WPB

Granite Telecommunications, a leading telecommunications solutions provider for multi-location companies throughout the United States and Canada, has leased 7,800 square feet at the Reflections Office Center in West Palm Beach.
Based in Quincy, Massachusetts, Granite Telecommunications will relocate its South Florida office from Boynton Beach to a full floor at the Reflections Office Center, located at 450 Australian Avenue.
Peter D. Reed, principal of Commercial Florida Realty Services, represented Reflections Office Center owner Southern Management and Development, L.P. (SMD) in the transaction.
Boca Raton-based SMD  has recently renovated the twin-building complex, which overlooks Clear Lake in the Australian Avenue business corridor.  “Granite Telecommunications’ lease is an encouraging sign for the West Palm Beach area, bringing positive space absorption and new jobs to a market where tenants typically have shuffled among buildings in recent months,” Reed said.  Granite was represented in the transaction by Fox Rock Properties, Quincy, Mass.
Since its founding in 2002, Granite Telecommunications has grown into a 1.25 million line phone company with more than 14,000 customers, and with additional offices in New York, Georgia and Rhode Island.
SMD, which purchased the Reflections Office Center in 2011, continues growing its commercial real estate holdings.  Since 1972, SMD has focused on adding value to properties in the retail, office and multi-family sectors throughout Florida and Tennessee.  The company owns and manages a 3.9 million-square-foot retail portfolio, plus 2,089 rental apartments and 200,000 square feet of office space.
