Subway's New Concept – Subway Cafe – To Open First Miami Location

Comras Company has completed a 1,238 square foot new lease forSubway Café, the newest concept from the world’s largest fast casual restaurant, at 409-411 15th Street, the corner of 15th Street and Washington Avenue in Miami’s South Beach.
Michael Comras, President of Comras Company, along with Michael Silverman, represented both the landlord and the tenant in this transaction.”We have worked diligently to enhance the property’s aesthetics and amenities, including significantly increasing the capability and presence of sidewalk dining, in order to further complement this unique mix of restaurants while ensuring a high traffic count throughout the day,” said Mr. Comras. “We are pleased Subway has chosen South Beach and this location in particular as its Miami launch pad for the new café concept.”
Subway Cafe’s are set up essentially the same (as a traditional Subway) as customers order sandwiches the way they’re used to, however, Subway Café’s include baked goods and dessert items and a full line of espresso-based creations. Subway Cafe’s signature menu items are in addition the the regular fare.
“Instead of going to a Subway to get a sandwich, and then later going somewhere else to get a coffee, now consumers can do it all in one spot. It’s nontraditional approach helps create a captive audience,” added, Mr. Comras. The café’s will feature brick or wood paneled walls, lounge-style seating with comfortable armchairs, high-end lighting, and in some cases a fireplace.
