State Street Realty Brokers Ink More Than 569,000 SF In Deals In 60 Days

State Street Realty, a Miami based brokerage and advisory firm, had an active February and March, closing over 569,000 square feet of office and industrial sale and lease transactions in the Miami Airport submarket valued over $28 million.
State Street Realty President George Pino, SIOR, RPA, Senior Vice President Ed Lyden and Senior Associate Jesus Cortes working on behalf of Landlord’s Prologis and various other clients completed the transactions together in the past 60 days.
According to Senior Vice President, Ed Lyden, “Leasing activity in Miami’s West-Dade industrial market remains positive and continues to be predominantly driven by the growth and expansion needs of local logistics and freight forwarding companies.  The market continues to remain strong for occupiers under 30,000 SF and there are several prospects in the market with requirements over 100,000 SF.  Several of these larger companies are in older, less functional warehouse facilities and many are migrating to the new modern construction specifications, which several industrial developers are offering, as these tenants seek to drastically improve the overall efficiency and operation of their business.”
Noteworthy deals that State Street Realty closed in February and March 2013 include:

  • Interport Logistics leased 146,788 SF of industrial warehouse space at Prologis Beacon Lakes.  George Pino, SIOR and Ed Lyden of State Street Realty represented the Landlord, Prologis.  Tom Capcefalo and Tyler Wyant of Studley represented the Tenant.
  • JMJ Enterprises purchased a 6,584 SF warehouse condominium at Prologis Beacon Lakes.  George Pino, SIOR and Ed Lyden of State Street Realty represented the Seller, Prologis and Alex Beach of Easton & Associates represented the Buyer.
  • Solid Construction leased 2,400 SF of industrial warehouse space at Lakefront Business Center.  Jesus Cortes, Ed Lyden and George Pino, SIOR of State Street Realty represented the Landlord, Cecilio G. Lopez, Trustee.
  • CHEP Aerospace US, Inc. leased 29,451 SF of industrial warehouse space at Prologis Beacon Lakes.  George Pino, SIOR and Ed Lyden of State Street Realty represented the Landlord, Prologis.  Greg Lance, SIOR of UGL Services Equis Operations Co.
    represented the Tenant.
  • Deluxe Freight leased 25,600 SF of industrial warehouse space at Prologis Beacon Industrial Park.  George Pino, SIOR of State Street Realty represented the Landlord, Prologis.  Jose Val of Parvani Commercial Group represented the Tenant.
