QueensFort Capital, a Miami Beach-based real estate investment and development company and SONIC franchisee, will create more than 80 jobs with the opening of its newest addition to the Miami Gardens business community.

SONIC Beach, a unique extension of the SONIC Drive-in quick service restaurant concept with a fun South Florida twist, will open on Sept. 4 at 2660 NW 199th Street in Miami Gardens. Grand Opening events include a special VIP reception and tours for partners and area business leaders on Sept. 3 with an official soft opening on Sept. 4. A public party, featuring music, food and special giveaways for SONIC Beach customers is scheduled for October.

“The Miami Gardens location marks our third South Florida SONIC Beach restaurant, following two successful ventures in Homestead and Fort Lauderdale,” said Arthur J. Halleran, Jr., Chairman, QueensFort Capital. “Given the popularity and awareness of the SONIC brand, QueensFort Capital is confident that this newest location will receive the same level of patronage and consistent positive feedback as our other restaurants. We are extremely excited at the potential of the Miami Gardens market.”

QueensFort has scheduled the opening of its fourth SONIC Beach location in Lauderhill for Fall 2014.

SONIC Beach offers a new spin on the traditional SONIC Drive-In concept that captures the South Florida essence. The improved SONIC Beach design offers several upgrades, such as a stylish patio area complete with professional landscape design, 10 60-inch state-of-the art LED flat screen TVs, a sand beach area with beach umbrellas and a menu that includes specialty items only served at SONIC Beach, along with a full offering of beers and wine.

SONIC, which specializes in made-to-order fast food, is known for its specialty menu items and personal Carhop service.

An affiliate of QueensFort has purchased the Exclusive Area Development rights from SONIC Corporation to South Florida. The development rights provide QueensFort with the ability to develop, own and operate 50 or more SONIC restaurants in one of the most important U.S. markets.
