Brian Katz, CEO of Katz & Associates, announced that Presidente Supermarket has signed a 20-year lease at Cross County Plaza, which is set to open in the first quarter of 2020.

The West Palm Beach location will mark the 53rd store in Florida. The location is the site of the former Winn Dixie located at the SE corner of Military Trail and Okeechobee Blvd. in West Palm Beach which boasts the highest traffic count in Palm Beach County.

The 53,291-square-foot grocery store will be completely remodeled by Presidente.

Katz & Associates brokers Daniel Solomon and Roxanne Register exclusively represent the Landlord, New York-based Cross County Owners LLC, and brokered the deal in just two months after Winn Dixie’s departure. Joe Valls represented Presidente Supermarket and is the grocery chain’s exclusive Broker.

“The existing tenants in the shopping center are thriving and we are excited to bring a new grocery shopping experience to this multi-cultural area to add to our tenant mix,” said Register. “Presidente Supermarket is a privately-owned family company and unique in that they are able to customize their product to the customer’s needs at affordable prices.”

Presidente is joining 2 other new tenants opening in Cross County Plaza this year, which include Ollie’s Bargain Outlet (37,600 SF), and Launch Trampoline Park (30,000 SF), both secured by Katz.

“Our goal was to find the right uses to complement the existing tenant mix and we were able to deliver a fantastic grocery store in record time,” said Solomon.
