Cushman & Wakefield has represented Shiji Group, a leading global hospitality technology provider, in a new office lease in Hollywood.

The lease marks the China-based company’s entry to the Broward County market and will allow it to create approximately 70 high-value tech jobs in the South Florida region, in partnership with the Greater Fort Lauderdale Alliance.

The 8,000-square-foot space at Ganot Plaza, 4601 Sheridan St., serves as Shiji’s third U.S. headquarters, joining offices in Atlanta and New York. The company officially opened its new Hollywood office in February 2020.

The Cushman & Wakefield team of Atlanta-based Director Trey Dove and Fort Lauderdale-based Associate Christina Jolley negotiated the lease on Shiji’s behalf. The landlord is Adler Realty Services, represented in-house by VP of Brokerage Services Daniel Heisler.

“Finding Shiji the office space they needed and structuring the deal in such a way that aligned with their plans for growth were challenges that we are proud to have successfully navigated,” said Jolley. “The cherry on top was helping our client establish a relationship with the Greater Fort Lauderdale Alliance, a match that will result in $350,000 worth of tax savings for our client and 70 new jobs in Broward County.”

Ganot Plaza is a six-story, 71,697-square-foot Class A office building. The property is located in the heart of an upscale residential community and offers ample parking, a recently renovated lobby and full-service on-site banking facility. The office building reflects the high-end, modern aesthetic that Shiji was looking for in an office space.

“Finding the right space for our third U.S. corporate office was important for us to be able to support our growth plans and our customers here in the South Florida region and across the country,” said Greg Berman, COO of Shiji Distribution Solutions. “The Cushman & Wakefield team understood what we were looking for and worked diligently to secure the location.”

Founded in 1998, Shiji has become a global leader in hospitality technology, serving 15,000 cities and 177 countries around the world. When Shiji arrived in the U.S. in 2016, it quickly became one of the fastest-growing hospitality technology companies in the country, with 57% of all hotels in the United States now utilizing Shiji technology, including 58% of the hotels in Miami, and almost two-thirds of the hotels in Orlando.
