New Mixed-Use Project Planned For Wynwood

Goldman Properties is preparing to build a new development in Wynwood, which they say will be the ‘first true mixed-use ground up building’ in the neighborhood.
Plans for the project, to be located at 2700 NW 2nd Avenue, are currently being reviewed by city officials. They call for a project consisting of 72 residential units, 68 hotel units, 11,159-square-feet of retail, and 47,252,-square-feet of office space. A 101-space parking garage will be located underground, beneath the building.
On the north facade of the building, panels will be used as an ‘evolving canvas’ displaying rotating artwork, curated by a full-time arts manager employed by Goldman. The developer stresses that ‘in no event’ will the panels be used for commercial advertisement.
The project requires several waivers, including rooftop structures that exceed the Miami 21 height limit, a 10% reduction in required parking spaces, and offsite parking that is more than 1,000-feet away from the project. A separate parking garage will be built on NW 3rd Avenue, between NW 27th Street and NW 26th Street.
