The Bergeron Distribution Center, a 173,373-square-foot, class-A distribution and warehouse facility in Pembroke Pines that opened in September 2017, has reached a new milestone: 74 percent occupancy.

The Bergeron Distribution Center is situated on 9.1 acres of land at the southwest corner of Stirling Road and S.W. 196th Avenue within the Bergeron Park of Commerce and Industry, a 300-acre industrial park and development site.

With this milestone, Bergeron Family of Companies has announced plans to build the next phase of the distribution center. The new 150,000-square-foot warehouse and industrial building will be directly adjacent to phase 1 of the Bergeron Distribution Center. Bergeron plans to break ground in the next several months following receipt of all permits.

Both buildings offer rare zoning and space opportunities for large-scale industrial tenants such as third-party logistics providers, distributors and manufacturers. The additional availability of trailer parking and outdoor storage provides tenants with maximum flexibility and convenience.

Commercial real estate broker Keith Graves represents Bergeron Family of Companies in all leases at the Bergeron Distribution Center. Graves serves as senior vice president for Berger Commercial Realty/CORFAC International, which received the exclusive leasing assignment for the Bergeron Distribution Center when Bergeron Family of Companies first broke ground on the property.

“The Bergeron Distribution Center’s central location within South Florida, coupled with its ample exterior trailer parking and outdoor storage, makes it ideal for large-scale tenants, particularly those in the shipping and logistics industries,” said Graves.

Bergeron Family of Companies Executive Vice President Lonnie Bergeron said, “I’m extraordinarily happy to be a part of and continue the development of a vision my father Ron Bergeron, Sr., saw more than 40 years ago. Our most recent world class tenant will be adding approximately 75 new jobs to the area. I look forward to the continued economic growth and new jobs with the next phase of the Park’s development.”

Bergeron Properties and Investment Corporation Vice President Frank Saia added, “Securing this 74 percent occupancy milestone at the Bergeron Distribution Center wouldn’t be possible without the professional cooperation and assistance of the City of Pembroke Pines. Thanks to the City’s leadership and staff, the City of Pembroke Pines is poised for continued commercial and industrial growth, employment opportunities and economic development for many years to come.”

City of Pembroke Pines Director of Planning and Economic Development Michael Stamm Jr. said, “The Bergeron family has a strong commitment to building quality projects in Pembroke Pines. The Bergeron Park of Commerce & Industry’s inclusive zoning and strategic location continues to attract numerous national credit tenants to our City.”
