Miami Dade College Seeks Public-Private Partnership For Mixed-Use Project

Miami Dade College is seeking to develop a mixed-use project on its medical campus through a public-private partnership.
The project is envisioned for a 4.5-acre site at 1000 N.W. 20 St., west of the main Medical Campus building. The site is currently a parking lot.
The college is seeking letters of interest from the private sector by a Dec. 6 deadline. Forms are available at www.mdc.edu/purchasing/bids.asp
“At a minimum, the college seeks to develop a proposed Medical Campus Expansion Building and a garage building,’’ MDC said in announcement. “Potential compatible uses for the mixed-use development include a hotel, conference center, medical office building, residential building, and retail component.’’
The college plans to hold a pre-proposal meeting Sept. 18 at 10 a.m. at its MDC Medical Campus, 950 NW 20 St., Room 1175, for interested parties such as developers, architects, and financiers.
