Lincoln Property Company Hosts Groundbreaking Ceremony At Miami-Dade’s Newest Last Mile Distribution Project

Lincoln Property Company hosted a groundbreaking ceremony at Miami Axis Park, the newest, last mile distribution and warehouse project in Miami-Dade County.

“Miami Axis Park is currently Lincoln Property’s largest industrial development in Miami. It is unique by virtue of its location within Miami’s urban core, with 25% of Miami-Dade County’s population within 5 miles of the property, as well as for its accessibility to all major roadways and ports,” said Diego Juncadella, Associate VP at Lincoln Property Company.

Three buildings will comprise 415,460 SF of Class A warehouse, with a 36-foot clear height ceiling in Building 100 and 32-foot clear height ceilings in Buildings 200 and 300. Coupled with improved column spacing, expanded truck courts, and trailer parking, these facilities were designed to cater specifically to eCommerce and last mile distribution users looking for a place to house their operations in Miami.

Miami Axis Park’s central location at 727 SE 9th Court in Hialeah will streamline tenants’ access with multiple routes to the Port of Miami, Miami International Airport, Port Everglades and direct access to Doral, Downtown, Brickell, and Coral Gables.

The industrial park was designed by RLC Architects and is being built by Miller Construction Company. Jose Juncadella, SIOR and Sebastian Juncadella, both of Fairchild Partners, are the leasing agents for Miami Axis Park.

“With a nationwide trend of labor shortage and scarcity of skilled manufacturing workers, Miami Axis Park stands out due to its direct access to manufacturing workers in its immediate vicinity—a third of the workforce within three miles are blue-collar workers, and the percentage of skilled manufacturing workers in the surrounding area is 14.3%, versus 5% in the county,” said Jose Juncadella, SIOR.

With its central location in the county, access to the strongest labor pool in the county, and proximity to both MIA and the Port, Miami Axis Park will be an exciting project to follow—with new-to-market tenants and expanding local businesses already looking to take occupancy in the project.
