Law Firm Bryan Cave Opens Miami Office

St. Louis-based Bryan Cave is the latest international law firm to open an office in Miami.
The 985-lawyer firm is opening its 27th office.
“We’ve been considering the possibility of opening an office in Miami for a number of years,” Bryan Cave chair Don Lents said. “It’s a market that, when we talk about locations that we might consider, it’s been on the radar screen. We’ve had our eyes open and were waiting for the right team.”
Bryan Cave’s clients have had litigation needs in South Florida, particularly financial institution and manufacturing and commercial clients, Lents said. Miami is “one of the major markets in the Unites States, and that has some interest, particularly its role as the U.S. gateway to Latin America.”
Bryan Cave’s Miami office opens Monday in the Southeast Financial Center at 200 S. Biscyane Blvd., where the firm leased 10,000 square feet. Lents said the firm plans to grow the office, although the firm has no target number.
Bryan Cave ranked 46th on the Am Law 200 in 2013, pulling in $643 million in gross revenue, up 3 percent from the previous year.
