It’s Time For Musical Chairs!

Round and round they go, where they’ll stop, well…we think WE know.

Seems to be the season for the latest round of Broker Musical Chairs, and we have quite a list of players.

Owen Sagar and Michael Wilson have both parted ways with Grubb & Ellis, and have set up shop with CBRE, effective this past Monday, January 23rd. Owen, held the position of Senior Vice President with Grubb & Ellis Company since 2004. Mike also was a Senior Vice President, based in the Boca Raton office. Both Owen and Mike will work together as a team in their new roles and have, reportedly, taken their listings with them.

In addition to Owen and Mike, looks like CBRE will be adding two additional brokers to their roster.  Rumor has it that Maggie Kurtz and Diana Parker have abandoned the Cushman & Wakefield ship for calmer seas with CBRE.  Both Maggie and Diana served as Directors and Office Leasing Specialists with C&W, with a focus on Tenant and Landlord Representation.

Richard Schuchts and Jones Lang LaSalle parted ways in December.  Richard has set up his own shop, SQFT Capital Advisors, where he will continue to service both owners and tenants.

Joe Byrnes rounds out our Musical Chairs players.  Joe has 25 years of experience in many facets of the commercial real estate business, spending the last 13+ years with ComReal Ft. Lauderdale.  Joe recently joined the ranks at Berger Commercial.

This is par for the course. Lots of unrest and uncertainty out there… and the players always have a desk to play from…
    Just my thought…
