Insurance Company Signs Lease for Latin American Regional Headquarters

Berkley Insurance Company, a member company of W. R. Berkley Corporation, signs a new office lease totalling 21,363 square feet at 600 Brickell, at Brickell World Plaza, to serve as the firm’s regional headquarters for its Latin American business division and provide additional space for the group’s corporate operations.
JLL completed the transaction on behalf of Foram Group, the owner of the 40-story premier office tower in Miami’s Brickell Financial District.
Noël Steinfeld, Senior Vice President at JLL, completed the lease transaction on behalf of the tower’s developer. Jack Lowell, Executive Vice President at PointeGroup Advisors, represented Berkley Insurance Company. Financial terms of the lease were not disclosed.
Major tenants at 600 Brickell include Northern Trust, law firm Hogan Lovells, and Crédit Agricole Private Banking Miami.

Founded in 1967, W. R. Berkley Corporation is an insurance holding company that is among the largest commercial lines writers in the United States and operates in three segments of the property casualty insurance business: insurance-domestic, insurance-international and reinsurance-global. The firm has its corporate headquarters in Greenwich, Connecticut.

The class A office tower was the first in Florida to earn LEED Platinum certification from the U.S. Green Building Council. Located in the heart of Brickell, the building has emerged as a central meeting point in Miami’s urban core, with a 30,000-square-foot landscaped plaza.
