HBO Latin America Expanding South Florida Offices

HBO Latin America Group is about to break ground on the expansion of its technical production facility in Sunrise.
The company is currently in a 71,679-square-foot facility at 13801 N.W. 14th Street. It plans to start construction of a 48,000-square-foot facility on a neighboring 2.2-acre site, HBO Latin America Senior VP of Technology and Operations Emilio Otermin said. It will connect to its existing building.
The company currently occupies five floors totaling 66,203 square feet at 396 Alhambra, which serves as it’s main office. That lease, The which was signed in December 2011, was the largest in square feet for the Coral Gables office market in 2011, according to a project spokesman.
The deal accounts for nearly 25 percent of the office component of the 273,000-square-foot project.

“This expansion will support the company’s plans for growth as technological demands increase,” Otermin said.

He said construction should be completed in the first quarter of 2016.
