Flagler Taps Miller Construction Company For New 252,000 SF Project

Miller Construction Company has begun site work for Flagler Global Logistics’ new 252,000-square-foot Building 34 at Flagler Station business park in Miami’s Airport West submarket.
Miller Construction recently delivered the global logistics company’s 171,944-square-foot Building 31 at Flagler Station.
“We’re pleased to once again partner with Miller Construction to develop a new generation of more efficient and flexible warehouses to keep up with rising demand throughout South Florida,” said Flagler Global Logistics Executive Vice President of Real Estate Development Dan Marcus.  “The Miller team adds value at all stages of the project and delivers projects that meet the highest industry standards for quality.”
Located at 9290 NW 112 Avenue, Flagler Station Building 34 will allow for optimal rack layout, with 54-foot column spacing and a 30-foot clear ceiling height.   The tilt-up structure was designed by international architectural firm Ware Malcomb.
Starboard Cruise Services, the world’s leading onboard retailer, has preleased 87 percent of Building 34 for its main distribution center, and Miller’s crews will build out the tenant’s interior space in addition to constructing the structural shell.
“With PortMiami’s dredging and other infrastructure improvement projects underway to prepare South Florida to receive Post-Panamax ships, we’ve seen a quantum leap in demand for distribution/warehouse space,” said Miller Senior Vice President Brian Sudduth.  “The market’s expectations keep rising for accessible, efficient space, and Flagler Station is meeting that demand,” he added.
