Flagler Development Launches Construction Of 172,000 SF Warehouse

Miller Construction Company has launched construction of Building 31, a 171,944-square-foot industrial/warehouse building for Flagler Development at the Flagler Station business park in Miami-Dade County.
The new building, located at 10200 NW 110 Avenue, Miami, will allow for optimal rack layout, with 54-foot column spacing for bays and 30-foot clear-height ceilings.  Within Flagler Station’s 900-acre, campus-like setting, the new building will provide easy access to the Florida Turnpike, Dolphin Expressway and I-75.  Flagler Station, South Florida’s largest business park, is just minutes from Miami International Airport and PortMiami.  Industry leaders including Ryder System, LagasseSweet and FedEx, among others, operate major facilities at Flagler Station.
Miller’s crews are building the tilt-wall structure on an expedited schedule for completion this October.  Designed by RLC Architects, the building features a bar joist roof structure and dock-high loading bays.
“This is our first project with Miller Construction and they are off to a great start,” said Ben Branch, Flagler senior vice president design/construction services.  “They have brought excellent market value to this project, as well as an experienced and dedicated management team.”
“We’re seeing an uptick in demand for industrial construction, especially with the Tunnel and the dredging of PortMiami in preparation for the Post-Panamax ships,” said Miller Senior Vice President Brian Sudduth.  “South Florida’s new generation of warehouse space is designed to boost efficiency with higher ceilings, wider bays and more convenient loading, and large space users are upgrading.”
