Cushman & Wakefield has negotiated a 60,325-square-foot lease on behalf of Lehman Pipe & Plumbing Supply, LLC at a newly completed industrial facility in Pompano Beach.

Located at 1731 W. Copans Road, the new space will be the Miami-based company’s second location.

The Cushman & Wakefield Industrial Team of Executive Director Rick Etner, Executive Director Chris Metzger, Executive Director Christopher Thomson and Director Matthew G. McAllister represented Lehman Pipe in the lease negotiations. The landlord is Duke Realty.

Established in 1946, Lehman is a wholesaler of pipe, valves and fittings servicing the mining, power, water technology, agriculture, municipal, plumbing, fire protection, HVAC, commercial and industrial markets. The company plans to take occupancy of the new space by May or June of 2020.

The location will serve as a distribution facility.

“Cushman & Wakefield was a great partner to us in finding a second location that met all of our needs,” said Josh Aberman, Executive Vice President at Lehman. “We are excited to expand and grow our business in this brand-new facility in Pompano Beach.”

1731 W. Copans Road is situated within Copans Business Park, a four-building, 384,711-square-foot Class A industrial park. The 100,661-square-foot building was completed in 2019 on a speculative basis, and Lehman Pipe will be its first tenant. The facility features 32-foot clear heights and ample dock doors for efficient product storage and movement. Just west of Interstate 95, the property provides connectivity to all of South Florida via proximity to major roadways.

“This Pompano Beach location is a perfect complement to Lehman’s existing Miami facility that will allow it to expand its business and serve the entire South Florida market,” said Etner. “We were pleased to have secured this space for our client in a high-quality facility, in a high-demand submarket for industrial space and with a landlord as well respected as Duke Realty.”

Duke Realty’s Vice President of Leasing and Development, Stephanie Rodriguez, added, “We look forward to having such a quality tenant as Lehman occupying over 60,000 square feet in our brand new 1731 building. We only have 40,000 square feet left in this building and expect it to be leased up quickly.”
