Consulate General Of Mexico Finalizes 23,000 SF Lease

The Consulate General of Mexico will relocate its South Florida office to 1399 SW 1st Avenue in Miami’s Brickell Financial District. The Consulate General will occupy approximately 23,000 rentable square feet of space on three full floors at the 34,935 square foot office building. Financial terms of the 10-year lease were not disclosed.
Danet Linares and David Valdez of Blanca Commercial Real Estate represented landlord Chestnut Capital in the transaction, while Andrew Trench of Holly Sime Realty (presently with Taylor and Mathis) represented the Consulate General of Mexico.
“1399 SW 1st Avenue is an ideal address for tenants seeking all the conveniences and amenities of a Central Business District location from a well-appointed, low-rise building with easy in-and-out access and ample parking,” said Danet Linares, Blanca Commercial Real Estate Executive Vice President.
The Consulate General of Mexico will relocate to 1399 SW 1st Avenue in early 2012, a move that was spurred in large part by the Brickell Financial District’s culturally-diverse business community and status as an established hub for world trade and commerce.  Its offices are currently located at 5975 S.W. 72nd. Street in Miami.
“Not only is the property adjacent to an array of restaurant and retail options, it is also down the street from hundreds of global financial institutions, consulates and foreign trade offices along Downtown Miami’s prestigious Brickell Avenue,” said David Valdez, Blanca Commercial Real Estate Executive Vice President.
