CIASF To Unveil Findings Of Independent Study Identifying Real Drivers Of Industrial Real Estate Demand

On October 23, 2015, the Commercial Industrial Association of South Florida (CIASF) will be unveiling the findings of a detailed industrial and logistics study that was commissioned by the organization and conducted by Florida International University’s Metropolitan Institute.
The report and presentation – Drivers Of Industrial Demand:  An In-Depth Analysis – will provide a detailed look at the main demand drivers for the South Florida industrial market and how Miami-Dade County fits into the global logistics chain.
The presentation will address the recent PortMiami upgrades and will also put into perspective the true impact the Panama Canal expansion will have on the South Florida market.

“With global changes in logistics, it is imperative for real estate professionals to separate the noise from actual drivers of industrial demand,” stated Marty Busekrus, Director with HFF. “The findings in this report will be invaluable in helping us do that.”

Following the presentation of the findings of this report, there will be an hour-long panel discussion amongst global logistics and local shipping experts to add real world experience and knowledge to the findings of the study.
Questions addressed in this presentation include:

-Will the improvements at Port Miami increase cargo traffic to Port Miami?

-Will the new on-dock rail system take cargo out of South Florida and bypass the local warehouses?

-How much cargo that MIA receives actually gets stored in local warehouses?

-What are the real demand drivers of industrial in South Florida?

-What do the owners and developers of industrial product in South Florida think the main drivers will be?
