Lead by Biinary Projects, artists Golden, Don Rimx, Slowmow and Kief, led by Andrew Antonaccio “2alas,” joined forces to create the largest mural painting in Downtown Miami to date, transforming the exterior concrete walls of a parking garage facility that now greets Downtown Miami visitors and residents with a vivid piece of art.

The giant canvas, a 247,000-square-foot parking garage, is located at 255 Northeast First Street in Miami.

Mishorim Real Estate Investments LTD, purchased the parking garage, located near the SunTrust International Center in Downtown Miami, from Crocker Partners in October 2018 for $18,250,000. Subsequently, the ownership obtained $8,000,000 in financing from Florida Community Bank (FCB).

As part of a strategic revitalization of the garage building, the structure was wrapped around with a mural that depicts huge scale geometric shapes. The collaborative efforts help enhance visibility of the landscape and promote an invigorating environment for drivers and pedestrians. In addition, BayFront Parking brought in Eco Friendly Car Wash, which doesn’t use running water, as one of the guest amenities.

Shai Ben Ami“We feel a strong increase in both our transient parking and monthly member parking revenues since the upgrades, including equipment and services, and of course the wrap around mural,” commented real estate professional Shai Ben Ami,  who represented Mishorim in the parking garage purchase and is the current asset manager.

The parking structure is situated on a 37,500-square foot lot featuring buildable square footage totaling 1.35 million square feet, which includes zoning for 860 residential units. Architect Kobi Karp is designing a two phase mixed-use project for the site, named Mishorim Towers. The project is proposed to include twin towers, one 63-story (701 feet) and the other 55 stories (597 feet), comprising 800 residential units totaling 1,006,004 square feet of floor area, 120 hotel units, 7,110 square feet of commercial space and 264 parking spaces. UK-based hotel group Yotel broke ground on YotelPad Miami directly in front of the garage, which will offer 231 residential condos, or PADs as we they like to call them, situated above a YOTEL hotel.
