Adler Realty Appoints Industry Vet As VP For South Florida Region

Adler Realty Services (ARS) a division of Adler Group, which specializes in property management, sales, leasing and brokerage services, announced the appointment of Michael Holmquist as the firm’s Vice President.
Holmquist will assume the management of two million square feet of office, retail and industrial real estate while seeking opportunities to expand ARS’s commercial footprint in the South Florida region. He brings a diverse skill set to his position and is responsible for marketing, leasing, brokerage and operational management for ARS’s South Florida Portfolio.
“Michael is an industry veteran and a valuable addition to our team,” said Michael M. Adler, Chairman and CEO of Adler Group.  “His involvement within the community and his expertise of the South Florida market strengthens our commitment in delivering best-in-class realty services to our clients.”
With over twenty-five years of real estate experience, Holmquist began his career at Adler Group in the late 1980’s. He served as Director of Leasing for Miami International Commerce Center (MICC), a joint venture between Adler Group and Met Life. Upon the sale of the three million square foot development, Holmquist transitioned to work for it’s new ownership – JMB Institutional Realty Advisory – where he was responsible for the business park’s marketing, leasing and business development.
Holmquist served as General Manager for Terremark Management Services, where he was responsible for the marketing, hold and exit strategies of their flagship facility, the NAP of the Americas, one of the most significant telecommunications projects in the world.
Additionally, Holmquist brokered and closed 32-acres of land to FedEx as well as proposed and finalized a 3-acre parcel of land and 75 year ground lease to a national grocery chain in South Florida. Prior to re-joining Adler, Holmquist was responsible for a private family real estate portfolio valued over $500 million.
Michael Holmquist is an avid tennis player, golfer, runner and serves as Race Director for the Key Biscayne Lighthouse Run.
