Two National Tenants Sign At Southeast Financial Center

Southeast Financial Center, Florida’s tallest and largest office tower and plaza totaling 1.225 million square feet in the heart of Miami’s Central Business District, announced today that national retailers Texas de Brazil Express and Roy Teeluck Salon have signed new leases at the Tower.
This news comes days after the February retail numbers were released, which indicated that U.S. retail sales increased by the most in four months, and accounted for the biggest quarterly increase in four years.
Southeast Financial Center’s recently renovated plaza and ongoing repositioning initiatives make it the ideal urban location for motivated retail tenants. “We are striving to ensure the mix of amenities within the center represents a combination of top-tier quality and proper mix-use demand, to serve the property and attract consumers from the burgeoning downtown corridor,” said Mr. Greg Masin, Senior Director, Cushman & Wakefield, who represented each side in the transaction.
Texas de Brazil’s newest concept, the fast-casual “Express,” will make its southeast debut at Southeast Financial Center. The 1,500 square foot restaurant with outdoor seating in the plaza will feature selections from Texas de Brazil’s signature cuts of beef, chicken, pork and Brazilian sausage, all flamed-grilled to perfection and paired as a sandwich on fresh baked artisan bread, atop a crisp bed of lettuce or bowl of rice.
After temporarily closing during the renovation of the plaza, the famed Roy Teeluck Salon has reopened in a newly designed 2,500 square foot premise fronting the gateway corner of SE 3rd Street and 3rd Avenue. The first expansion outside of the renowned 57th Street location in New York City, the Salon’s master stylists, who most recently showcased their signature work at the Oscars, have cultivated a following of Miami’s most stylish clientele.
The two recent additions to the plaza join The Newsstand Café by Books & Books as enhanced tenant amenities. Today, the Southeast Financial Center is currently the largest leased tower in the State of Florida with more than one million square feet leased.
Located at 200 South Biscayne Boulevard in downtown Miami, Southeast Financial Center is comprised of two buildings: a 55-story Class A Office Tower distinguished by its striking “saw-tooth” design on the northeast corner of the façade and a 15 story Annex Building which houses the popular Downtown Athletic Club and 1,200 parking spaces. Connecting the Office Tower and Annex buildings is a 30,000 square foot outdoor plaza landscaped with shade trees and a variety of lush native plantings. A steel and glass canopy attached 150 feet from the ground provides a unique architectural connection between the two structures, and adds an aesthetically pleasing ambiance to the plaza.
