SunTrust International Center Receives TOBY Award

SunTrust International Center in downtown Miami has received The Outstanding Building of the Year (TOBY) Award for the second consecutive year as well as the Chief Engineer Award from the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) Miami-Dade.
“For a single building to win both of these impressive awards is a landmark achievement for any company and we sincerely thank our dedicated and skilled team for their commitment to quality and dedication to position this office building as one of the most distinguished in South Florida,” said Chris Rotolo, president of Stiles Property Management.
Just last year, SunTrust International Center won a 2009-2010 TOBY award for excellence in building management and back in 2002 the building was awarded with a TOBY for excellence in renovation. The TOBY Award is bestowed as the highest mark of excellence for office building management and is the most all-inclusive program in the commercial real estate industry. During the competitions, all facets of a building’s operations are thoroughly evaluated. Competing in the 250,000 – 499,000 square foot category, Stiles won based on judging categories that included:

  • Building standards
  • Emergency preparedness and security
  • Community involvement and tenant relations
  • Energy management systems and procedures
  • Environmental and regulatory
  • Training for building personnel

Stiles Property Management was also acknowledged for its sustainability program, which includes the use of green cleaning products that are environmentally safe, Green Seal Certified, bio-renewable and do not contain volatile organic compounds that could compromise indoor air quality.
