JLL Assembles New Team to Steer Southeast Financial Center

Southeast Financial Center, Florida’s tallest and largest office tower and plaza totaling 1.225 million square feet in the heart of Miami’s Central Business District, announced today the team members with Jones Lang LaSalle who will exclusively lead the office leasing and management team for the property. 
Donald Cartwright will remain in the executive position of Director of Leasing. Recognized as a leader in the marketing and leasing of office properties, Mr. Cartwright rejoins Jones Lang LaSalle having served with the firm from 1996-2003 and playing an instrumental role in establishing Jones Lang LaSalle as an industry leader in South Florida. Mr. Cartwright has successfully directed the exclusive leasing of Southeast Financial Center for over two years, including 240,000 square feet of lease transactions.

Jay Leone will assume the role of General Manager. Mr. Leone, a veteran in overseeing complex strategic planning and the day-to-day operations of numerous assets, will lead the significant on-going capital improvements to the property and maintain the property’s LEED gold standards.

Additional team members include:

  • Kurt Keaton, Market Director, Florida. Mr. Keaton is responsible for the oversight of Jones Lang LaSalle’s management/agency leasing of commercial buildings and corporate facilities throughout Florida.

 

  • Steven J. Medwin, CCIM, SIOR, Managing Director. Mr. Medwin leads the brokerage team for South Florida, including Office Agency Leasing, Tenant Representation and Industrial/Logistics.

 

  • Delber Mendez – Property Manager

 

  • Dwight Stephenson – Assistant General Manager

 

  • David Siljee – Chief Engineer

 

  • Shannon Crowell – Project Manager

 
Located at 200 South Biscayne Boulevard in downtown Miami, Southeast Financial Center is comprised of two buildings: a 1.225 million square foot 55-story Class A Office Tower distinguished by its striking “saw-tooth” design on the northeast corner of the façade and a 15 story Annex Building which houses the popular Downtown Athletic Club and 1,200 parking spaces. Connecting the Office Tower and Annex buildings is a 30,000 square foot outdoor plaza landscaped with shade trees and a variety of lush native plantings. A steel and glass canopy attached 150 feet from the ground provides a unique architectural connection between the two structures, and adds an aesthetically pleasing ambiance to the plaza.
