CREC announced today that Daniel Morris has joined as Senior Vice President of Development.
This addition will allow CREC to increase efforts on retail development throughout the state of Florida.
Bringing more than 25 years of commercial real estate industry experience to CREC, Morris possesses a distinguished career procuring and facilitating significant retail development. He has worked with prominent national tenants, including Aldi, Best Buy, Carrabba’s Italian Grill, Cumberland Farms, Cracker Barrel, CVS, JCPenney, McDonald’s, Office Depot, Panera Bread, Sports Authority, Wachovia and Wells Fargo, Walgreens, Wal-Mart, Wawa, and Whole Foods.
“Daniel’s unique experience and understanding of the retail environment make him an excellent addition to the CREC acquisitions and development team,” said CREC Co-Founder and President Carol Brooks. “As we continue to source rare opportunities across service sectors throughout Florida, he will play an integral role in strategic retail development initiatives with our joint-venture partners.”
Morris has held several high-level positions in prominent development firms across the country. Prior to joining CREC, he served as regional vice president of development and leasing for Sears Holdings Corporation. Before this, he was vice president of development and acquisitions with RMC Property Group in Tampa.
Morris holds a bachelor’s degree from West Chester University in Pennsylvania. He is a licensed Florida real estate salesperson and a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers.
