CBRE Names Florida And Latin America President

CBRE Group, Inc. announced that Mary Jo Eaton has been promoted to president over Florida and Latin America.
Ms. Eaton has led CBRE’s Florida region since 2011 and assumes responsibility for CBRE’s Latin America business with her promotion. She will report to Cal Frese, chief executive officer, the Americas, CBRE. Her elevation to the president title reflects outstanding performance across a broad range of leadership attributes, including industry leadership, client relationships and sales management.

“This is a well-deserved promotion for Mary Jo,” said Mr. Frese. “She has been instrumental in the strategic alignment of our management, operations and sales professional teams and expanding our capabilities in Florida. We look forward to her added leadership in Latin America as we continue to build advantage for our clients and grow our business there.”

Ms. Eaton will now be responsible for 18 CBRE owned offices and 4 affiliate offices with more than 3,000 employees in Florida, Latin America and the Caribbean. This consolidation is in keeping with CBRE’s global perspective, which brings advantage to our clients through shared international relationships, while also leveraging our scale and strengthening the integration of services across borders.
Prior to relocating to Florida in 2011, Ms. Eaton was managing director of CBRE’s Baltimore office and simultaneously oversaw the firm’s Asset Services business in the Baltimore-Washington, D.C. region, which consisted of approximately 50 million square feet of retail, office and industrial assets under management. Ms. Eaton started her career with CBRE as managing director of Asset Services in the Philadelphia region, and held positions with Equity Office Properties Trust and Lincoln Property Company.
Ms. Eaton also serves as the executive sponsor of the CBRE Hispanic Network Group, the affinity group supporting Hispanic and Latino professionals across the Americas. A champion for inclusion and diversity in the workplace, Ms. Eaton serves on CBRE’s Diversity Council and is also a former board member of The Commonwealth Institute, a non-profit that helps women-led businesses become and stay successful.
She was named one of the Top 100 Power Leaders by the South Florida Business Journal in 2015, one of the Top 50 Women-Led Business Leaders in Florida by The Commonwealth Institute in 2014, and received CBRE’s President’s Performance Award in 2011 and 2010.
Ms. Eaton received a Master’s degree from Temple University and a B.A. from Case Western Reserve University.
