CBRE announced multiple executive promotions and welcomes a new vice president to the South Florida retail team.

José Lobón was promoted to Executive Vice President; Grant Killingsworth was promoted to Senior Vice President; Kevin Gonzalez was promoted Vice President and is now partner to the Kurtz/Parker Office Team; and Scott Meyers has been hired as first vice president of A&T, representing retail client in south Florida.

“As our footprint expands across South Florida, we are thrilled to see our professionals growing their business and careers,” said Arden Karson, Senior Managing Director at CBRE. “We have high quality standards of service and delivery, and we take pride in our talent because we know they are the best in the industry. Our professionals have proven through their hard work and dedication that these promotions are very well-deserved.”

In 2018, Jose Lobón played an integral role in the largest sale transaction of the year in South Florida; the sale of the 30-story office tower at 1111 Brickell in Miami. Mr. Lobón is one of CBRE’s top producers nationwide. He works with the South Florida-based Capital Markets Institutional Group, specializing on Institutional clients with a primary focus on office, industrial and land development transactions. Since joining CBRE in 2011, José has been involved in the valuation, marketing and execution of more than $9 billion in real estate sale and finance transactions, ranging from one-off dispositions to multi-market portfolios.

Grant Killingworth arranged the largest office lease in South Florida in 2018; the 133,000-square-foot lease renewal and expansion of World Fuel Services Corporation’s headquarters in Doral. Mr. Killingsworth joined CBRE in January 2015 as First Vice President and specializes in representing office tenants in South Florida. With nearly 15 years of commercial real estate experience, Mr. Killingsworth has an extensive background working for prestigious landlord and corporate clients.

Last year, among the transactions Kevin Gonzalez arranged is the 17,000-sq.-ft. lease buy-out on behalf of Fossil. Mr. Gonzalez is now partner to the Kurtz/Parker Office Leasing Team, one of the longest running commercial real estate partnerships in South Florida. He joined CBRE in 2013 and has specialized in providing leasing Advisory & Transaction Services to clients in the tri-county region. Prior to joining CBRE, Mr. Gonzalez had 8 years’ experience with local developers and investors, attaining a well-rounded knowledge base of commercial real estate.

In 2018, among the deals Scott Meyers transacted, he represented the buyer in the $18.4 million sale of Okee Square in West Palm Beach, Florida, a 124,000 SF shopping center. Mr. Meyers joins CBRE from Konover South, where he was Director of Retail representing regional and national clients. He was responsible for shopping center leasing, third-party business development and tenant representation. In addition to leasing responsibilities, Mr. Meyers also sourced land acquisitions for retail property development.

Other recent promotions include Scott Correale’s promotion to Managing Director for Broward and Palm Beach and Ali Brody’s promotion to Sales Manager.
