14-Story Trophy Office Tower Coming To Sunny Isles Beach

Jul 24, 2018 No Comments by

A seaside office tower is under construction in Sunny Isles Beach, and its developer hopes it will spare local business folks from a commute.

“This oceanfront community does not have an office tower of this size and scale,” said Guy Gil, a co-leasing director at Coral Gables-based J. Milton & Associates.

The 14-story Milton Tower, at 16690 Collins Ave., will feature executive suites ranging in size from 2,500 to 13,900 square feet, as well as 4,000 square feet of ground-floor restaurant and retail space, six-floor parking garage, outdoor terraces and an onsite fitness center. It also will have an executive center, valet parking, car wash service, an electric vehicle charging station and floor-to-ceiling glass windows with direct ocean, Intracoastal and city views.

Gil called it a “trophy office tower.” It is expected to open in late 2019, according to his spokeswoman. The real estate development company is now leasing space for the project.

“We strongly believe that the quality, location and accessibility of this building will appeal to a wide range of tenants, including residents who do not want the headaches of traveling all the way to downtown Miami or Brickell Avenue,” Gil said.

Kevin Lurie, who is assisting J. Milton & Associates with leasing and strategy, said issues such as traffic concerns and amenities matter.

“The extensive new development that has occurred in Miami and other major submarkets has increased commute times dramatically,” he said. This location could help recruit and retain talent for employers, he said.

J. Milton & Associates’ other projects include Parque Towers at St. Tropez, which is scheduled to open this year in Sunny Isles Beach.
